Rebozo technique
Historically, the Rebozo is a long handwoven shawl, passed from mother to child and from midwife to midwife.
The shawl is known, besides its beautiful appearance, for its healing properties — it can be used during pregnancy for massage, during birth for body support and coping with contractions, and also postpartum for carrying the baby.
In Spanish, Mexican midwives call the Rebozo technique Manteada. The technique suits everyone, is relaxing and stress-relieving, and helps calm and balance the whole body and improve overall wellbeing.
Rebozo is gentle movement and rhythmic rocking, as a result of which:
- The uterus and lower abdominal muscles relax
- The baby turns into the best position for pregnancy and birth
- The woman experiences deep relaxation during pregnancy and birth
Rebozo lasts on average 2 hours and the price is 50€.
